China’s PMI Edges Up In June
(RTTNews) - China’s Purchasing Managers’ Index for the manufacturing sector increased to 53.2 in June from 53.1 in the preceding month, reports said Wednesday citing the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. The index moreover came in much better than the record low reading of 38.8 in November last year.
A reading above 50 indicates an expansion, while a reading below 50 signals a contraction.
During the month, while the output and new orders indices increased, the inventories index declined.
