Swiss Current Account Surplus Narrows In Q1

(RTTNews) - Switzerland’s current account surplus narrowed to CHF 11.2 billion in the first quarter from CHF 12 billion surplus in the fourth quarter, the Swiss National Bank said Tuesday.

Visible trade surplus in the first quarter declined to CHF 1.3 billion from CHF 3.5 billion surplus in the fourth quarter, while the surplus in services trade rose to CHF 10 billion from CHF 9.8 billion.

The capital account deficit was unchanged at CHF 0.6 billion, while the surplus in financial account increased to CHF 16.5 billion from CHF 0.7 billion.
