Portugal June Consumer Confidence Improves For Third Straight Month

(RTTNews) - Monday, the Statistics Portugal announced that the consumer confidence stood at minus 43.5 in June, up from minus 46.2 in May. A year earlier, the confidence indicator was minus 37.5.

In June, manufacturing industrial confidence slightly decreased to minus 31.4 from minus 31.2 in May. A year ago, the confidence was minus 7.9.

The confidence indicator on services increased to minus 18.1 from minus 20.7 in May, while the trade confidence indicator rose to minus 14.8 from minus 17.2.

Similarly, the confidence indicator on construction and public works increased to minus 45.8 from minus 47.3 in May.

Meanwhile, the economic sentiment indicator stood at minus 2.1 in June, up from minus 2.5 in May.
