Poland Core Inflation Rises In April

(RTTNews) - Thursday, the National Bank of Poland said in a report that the core inflation, net of food and energy prices increased 2.6% year-over-year in April, faster than the 2.5% increase in the previous month. Economists had predicted an increase of 2.5%. A year ago, the core inflation was 2.1%.

On a monthly basis, the core CPI rose 0.4% in April, marking the same pace as in the previous month.

In April, total consumer price index or CPI increased 4% on an annual basis, larger than the 3.6% rise in the previous month. The CPI was up 0.7% compared to the preceding month.
