Poland April Producer Price Inflation Slows

(RTTNews) - Monday, Poland’s Central Statistical Office announced that the industrial producer price index or PPI rose 5.1% year-over-year in April, slower than the 5.5% increase in March, revised from 5.6% estimated initially. Economists were looking an increase of 5.9%.

In April, manufacturing producer prices grew 2.6% annually and that of mining and quarrying were up 11.4%.

On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 0.6% in April, after a flat reading in March, revised from 0.1% increase reported initially.

During the January to April period, producer prices climbed 5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
