Danish Consumer Confidence Declines In May

(RTTNews) - Denmark’s consumer confidence indicator decreased to minus 4.7 in May from minus 4.4 in April, the Statistics Denmark said Wednesday. Economists expected the indicator to come in at 2.5.

During the month, the indicator measuring the financial situation for the next twelve months increased to 16.8 from 12.3, while the indicator measuring the financial situation for the past one year decreased to 0.9 from 1.6.

The index on the general economic situation for the next 12 months moved up to 14.9 from 10.4, while the economic situation index for the last one year decreased to minus 44.8 from minus 43.5. The index measuring major purchases in the present period moved down to 11.1 from minus 2.6.
