(RTTNews) - Tuesday, Japan’s Finance Minister Kaoru Yosano said the government will sell an additional JPY 10.8 trillion new government bonds to finance the economic stimulus package.

Yosano said the functioning of the nation’s bond market will not be disrupted while issuing the new bonds.

The JPY 10.8 trillion would cover more than two-thirds of the JPY 15.4 trillion stimulus package announced on April 10 to shore up the economy.
