Australian Official Reserves Rise to A$48 Billion in February, RBA Says
(CEP News) - Australia’s official reserve assets rose to a total of A$48.25 billion in February from A$47.78 billion, the Reserve Bank of Australia reported on Friday.
Disaggregating the figures, the RBA noted that foreign exchange reserves increased to A$43.79 billion, while SDRs remained unchanged at A$260 million. Gold reserves improved modestly to A$3.79 billion from A$3.67 billion in January.
In U.S. dollar terms, official reserve assets grew to $31.14 billion, up $380 million from January’s level.
Foreign exchange reserves increased from $27.97 billion to $28.26 billion, while SDRs remained stable at $170 million.
