Slovenian Industrial Turnover Falls In January

(RTTNews) - Friday, a report by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said the industrial turnover fell a seasonally adjusted 4.1% month-on-month in December. Turnover fell 5.4% in the domestic market and 2.4% in the non-domestic market in January.

During the month, turnover declined 4.2% in manufacturing, but rose 8.9% in mining and quarrying.

Year-on-year, turnover was down a working day adjusted 22.1% in December, reflecting a 9.2% fall in mining and quarrying turnover and a 22.2% drop in manufacturing turnover.

In 2008, industrial turnover fell 2.4% from last year.
