Malta Retail Price Inflation Slows In January
(RTTNews) - Friday, Malta’s National Statistical Office said that the retail price index rose 3.58% year-over-year in January, slower than the 4.93% rise recorded in the previous month. A year ago, retail prices were up 3.54%.
In January, the retail price index for food increased 8.37% on an annual basis, while beverages and tobacco prices grew 4.13%. The clothing and footwear prices were up 0.44%.
On a monthly basis, retail prices declined 2.25% in January, in contrast to a 0.13% rise seen in the previous month.
