Japan All Industry Activity Due On Friday
(RTTNews) - Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is scheduled to announce December numbers for all industry activity, headlining a modest day for Asian economic news. Analysts are expecting a decline of 2.7 percent on month after the 2.3 percent contraction in November.
Malaysia will provide consumer price index numbers for January and foreign reserves data for the period ending February 13. Inflation is expected to climb 4.1 percent on year, easing slightly from the 4.4 percent annual expansion in December. Foreign reserves were at $91.34 billion in the previous week.
Taiwan will announce current account data for the fourth quarter of 2008. Forecasts call for a surplus of $6.8 billion after the $2.01 billion surplus in the previous three months.
