Czech Producer Prices Decline Further In January

(RTTNews) - Friday, the Czech Statistical Office announced that industrial producer prices fell 0.8% in January, after declining 0.1% in December. Economists expected producer prices to fall 1.8% in January.

During the month, price of coke and refined petroleum products fell 38%, registering the steepest decline since 1991.

Month-on-month, industrial producer prices rose 1.1% in January, reversing the 1.5% drop in December.

Meanwhile, agricultural producer prices were down 3% month-on-month and 26.8% year-on-year in January. Construction work prices rose 0.4% from the previous month, and 3.2% from the previous year in January. Market service prices declined 0.5% on a monthly basis, but rose 2.6% on a yearly basis in January.
