Dutch Trade Surplus Narrows in December

(RTTNews) - Friday, a report by the Netherlands’ Central Bureau of Statistics said the trade surplus amounted to EUR 2.5 billion in December, EUR0.7 billion lower than in December 2007.

Value of exports declined 8% annually in December to EUR 26.3 billion, while the value of imports fell 6% to EUR 23.8 billion.

Volume of exports fell a working day adjusted 10% year-on-year, while imports rose 5%.
