Japanese Leading Index Falls Further
(RTTNews) - Friday, a preliminary report released by the Cabinet Office showed that the Japanese leading index fell to 79.8 in December from 81.8 in the prior month. However, the indicator stood above the expected reading of 79.
Meanwhile, the coincident index stood at 92.3 compared to 94.9 in November. The December reading matched economists’ expectations.
Further, the lagging index dropped considerably to 93.7 from 97.2 recorded in the previous month.
