German Factory Orders Decline In December

(RTTNews) - German factory orders dropped 6.9% month-on-month in December compared to a revised 5.3% decrease in November, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology reported Thursday. Economists had predicted just 2.5% fall.

Domestic demand fell 4.3%, while foreign orders slipped 9.4% in December.

From the previous year, orders plummeted 25.1% in December, following November’s 26.6% decrease. Economists were looking for an annual decline of 24.5%.
