Australian Official Reserves Increase In January

(RTTNews) - Friday, a report by the Reserve Bank of Australia said the total official reserves rose to A$47.78 billion at the end of January from A$47.52 billion at the end of December. In January last year, the reserves amounted to A$35.83 billion.

Foreign exchange reserves increased to A$43.44 billion from A$41.92 billion in December, while the reserve position in the IMF increased to A$985 million from A$942 million in the previous month.

Gold reserves increased to A$3.66 billion from A$ 3.22 billion, while the SDRs grew to A$264 million from 253 million in December.
