S&P Affirms Australian Foreign, Local Currency Sovereign Credit Ratings

(RTTNews) - Tuesday, the Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services affirmed foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings on the Commonwealth of Australia at ‘AAA/A-1+. The outlook was stable.

The Standard & Poor’s said, “The ratings on Australia reflect our opinion of the country’s sound government finances, resilient (albeit slowing) economy and transparent policy environment with strong institutions.”
