Luxembourg Dec. Consumer Price Inflation Slows
(RTTNews) - Wednesday, Luxembourg’s statistical agency STATEC announced that the consumer price index, or CPI rose 1.1% year-over-year in December, slower than the 2% recorded in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, the CPI dropped 0.59% in December, after falling 0.84% in November.
In December, underlying inflation, which excludes certain items whose prices are more volatile, rose 2.2%, compared with a 2.3% rise seen in November.
For the full year in 2008, consumer prices rose 3.4% over a year ago.
