Hong Kong Property Deals Decline In 2008

(RTTNews) - In Hong Kong, the total number of sale and purchase agreements for all types of building units received for registration fell 22.2% year-on-year in 2008, a report released by the Land Registry said Tuesday.

The value of these agreements totaled HK$ 413.11 billion, representing a decline of 21.4% compared with 2007.

During 2008, 162,912 building units assignments were lodged for registrations. This was an increase of 2.9% compared with 158,287 in 2007.
