Brazil Industrial Output Declines In November
(RTTNews) - Tuesday, the Brazilian statistical office, IBGE said the industrial production declined 6.2% year-over-year in November, compared with the 0.8% rise recorded in the previous month. This was the biggest fall since December 2001, which was a 6.4% decline. Economists were looking for a decrease of 4.3% for November.
On a monthly basis, the industrial production dropped 5.2% in November, after falling 1.7% in October. Economists had expected a decline of 3.5%.
During the January to November period, the industrial production rose 4.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
