Romanian Producer Price Inflation Eases Further In October

(RTTNews) - Tuesday, a report by Romania’s National Institute of Statistics said the producer price index or PPI climbed 16.7% year-on-year in October, at a slower pace compared with an 18.6% rise in September.

During the month, manufacturing prices rose 18.8%, while prices in mining increased 5.5%. Prices in the utilities sector were up 10.6%.

Among the main industrial groups, prices of intermediate goods rose 24.4%, capital goods 12.7%, energy 13.8%, and consumer durables were up 12.9%.

Month-on-month, producer prices fell 0.1% in October, at the same pace as in September.
