Japan Monetary Base +1.9% on Year in Nov

(RTTNews) - Japan’s monetary base was up 1.9 percent on year in November to 88.85 trillion yen, the Bank of Japan said on Tuesday, higher than analyst expectations that had forecast the base to remain at the previous annual expansion of 1.4 percent.

Banknotes in circulation were up 1.1 percent on year, while coins in circulation added 0.5 percent. Current account balances were up 11.3 percent on year, including an annual jump of 10.2 percent in reserve balances.

Seasonally adjusted, the monetary base added 7.9 percent on year to 90.446 trillion yen.
