New Zealand’s Visitor Arrivals Decrease In October
(RTTNews) - New Zealand’s short-term overseas visitor arrivals decreased 3% year-on-year to 173,900 in October, the Statistics New Zealand said Friday.
In October 32% or 3,000 less Chinese tourists visited New Zealand, while tourists from the United States were down 12% or 2,000. tourist arrivals from Korea declined 17% or 1,200 and from Japan was down 1,200 or 15%.
Further, the statistical office said New Zealand residents departed on 175,900 short-term overseas trips in October, up 7,800 or 5% from the previous year. There were 5% more departures to Australia and 14% more to Fiji.
