German Producer Price Inflation Slows in October

(RTTNews) - Thursday, Germany’s Federal Statistical Office announced that the producer price index, or PPI, for industrial products increased 7.8% year-on-year in October, smaller than the 8.3% rise recorded in September. Economists had expected an increase of 7.3%.

Month-on-month, the PPI remained unchanged in October, compared with a 0.3% rise in September. Economists were looking for a 0.7% decline.
