South Korean September Factory Output Falls On Month

(RTTNews) - South Korea’s factory output decreased 0.6% month-on-month in September after adjusting for seasonal variations, the National Statistical Office said Friday. That was quicker than the expected fall of 0.4%. However, the September fall was slower than a 2.2% decrease recorded in August.

Industrial production was up 6.1% year-on-year, notably quicker than the 1.9% rise seen in August and 4.7% growth predicted.

Further, the statistical office said services output rose 0.2% month-on-month in September, reversing a 1.2% fall marked in August. Compared to the previous year, services output was up 3% versus 1.5% rise in the prior month.
