Turkish Jan-July Building Permits Decline At Faster Pace
(RTTNews) - Thursday, Turkey’s statistical office Turkstat announced that the number of building permits issued by municipalities decreased 13.6% year-on-year in the period between January to June. A year ago, the number of building permits had fallen 3.5%.
According to the construction permits issued, the value of buildings rose 3.1%, while the floor area declined 12.6%. Permits issued for dwelling units fell 10.5%.
During the first six months of the year, the number of residential buildings decreased 15.3% annually to 39,851. The floor area of residential buildings declined 14.6%.
