If you are a veteran, or serving active military service, Veterans Day is your day! Celebrated on the 11th of November, it honors those who have served in the U.S. military. This year, the national Veterans Day holiday falls on Monday, and many Americans choose to spend the day with family and friends, or enjoy a short getaway. A large number of companies celebrate this day by offering free meals, services, and discounts to veterans and active military. Other companies celebrate special Veterans Day sales that everybody can benefit from. I’ve compiled some of the best offers, free products and services to help you enjoy Veterans Day 2013 to the full.
Many companies are offering freebies to members of the armed forces and veterans. Some of the offers are for November 10th, Sunday, or remain active for several days. Make sure to bring proof of military service, or be in uniform to qualify for the free deal or discount. Different companies require different proof of service, so make sure to plan in advance and check each company’s requirements.
Note: check the company’s website for full information about the offer, because many times franchisees may choose not to participate. If you are unsure if the places in your area will be offering special Veterans Day deals, check the company’s list of participating venues before heading out. Below are some of the best 2013 offers for veterans, active military personnel and others.
