According to the 2012 J.D. Power customer satisfaction survey on credit cards, American Express (NYSE:AXP) is still the best rated credit card when it comes to customer service for the sixth consecutive year.
In this survey, nearly 13,800 credit card users were surveyed regarding the main credit card features, such as rewards, benefits and services, credit card terms, problem resolution, interaction and the billing and payment process.
All credit card issuers were ranked from 1 to 1000, and the average score was 753, which is more than the average reached in the last couple of years. American Express ranked first with 807 points, followed closely by Discover (NYSE:DFS) with 799 points, and JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) had the third top score with 762 points.
This survey shows that cardholders are much more satisfied with their credit cards now than they were last year, despite the new credit card changes that have taken place recently. The most satisfied customers were those who took advantage of the perks that their credit cards offered, such as purchase protection, extended warranty, and so on.
If you want to take advantage of the perks and benefits these credit card issuers are offering, here is a list of the best credit cards for 2014 issued by American Express, Discover and Chase, which I recommend to those of you who want a card with excellent customer service and rewards programs.
