I have several televisions and two computers. What cable do I need to enable me to view movies over the Internet on my television? Thank you. John Willis

It depends on your TV and the video card in your computer. Many, many flat screen TVs these days come with an VGA (classic computer monitor 15-pin) input, which most video cards will put out. Of course, if you have a video card that puts out HDMI, and your TV accepts that, you can do that, too. Or, if your card puts out DVI, but your TV only takes HDMI or VGA, you can get DVI-HDMI or DVI-VGA adapters. Add a $50-$100 TV tuner card, and you could just use the computer as a dedicated source for the TV, bringing in HD OTA, and use the computer as a free DVR. All sorts of things you can do. TV powered by computer is way better than any standard television. Of course, if you have a new TV that does netflix directly, you don’t need any of this, but you miss out on all the cool stuff that comes from being able to access the internet on your TV, like Hulu on the big screen, etc.

you would need some kind of device that can connect to the internet, either through wi/fi or ethernet. like a blue ray player or a game console.

I use a regular monitor cord to hook up my 42 in. Tv to my tower. Of course your tv would need a monitor cord outlet on it. Mine is a Sanyo and its about 3 years old. Hdmi Is an option too, but it’s prob more costly to have a tower with hdmi, alot of laptop have hdmi though. I love having my computer on my big screen awesome for Netflix as well as pictures and web browsing! If you ask the people at Walmart they will point you on the right direction. I think my cord was $9.00 so pretty cheap and I have no problems. You will also need the cord to hook up for sound as well also very cheap.
