European Markets Close Lower; Dax Down 2.78%

Forexpros – European stocks were down after the closing bell on Friday.<br/><br/> At the close of European trade, Germany&rsquo;s DAX fell 2.78%, London&rsquo;s FTSE 100 shed 2.53%, France&rsquo;s CAC 40 declined 1.26% and the EURO STOXX 50 was down 1.54%.<br/><br/> Earlier in the day, official data showed that U.S. non-farm payrolls rose more-than-expected to a seasonally adjusted 117K last month, from 46K in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 18K.<br/><br/> Analysts had expected U.S. non-farm payrolls to rise 95K last month. <br/><br/> Meanwhile, on Wall Street, equity markets were up after the open. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.96%; the S&P 500 index gained 0.62%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 0.27%.<br/><br/>
