European Economics Preview: Eurozone Producer Prices Forecast To Fall
(RTTNews) - Wednesday, Eurozone producer prices and services PMI survey results are expected to dominate the newsflow from European economies.
At 3.00am ET, Romania’s average nominal wage for September is due from the National Institute of Statistics. Average nominal wages had increased 5.6% in August from the prior year.
The release of the services Purchasing Managers’ Index reports for major Eurozone economies is set to start at 3.45 am ET. The first one to hit the wires is the preliminary Italian PMI for service sector. The Italian services PMI is forecast to rise to 49.3 in October from 48.5 in the prior month. Thereafter, final PMI reports are due from France, Germany, Eurozone and the preliminary report for the UK.
At 4.00am ET, the Icelandic trade balance for October is due. The trade surplus stood at ISK 3 billion in September, down from ISK 12.64 billion in the previous month.
At 5.00am ET, the Eurostat is slated to issue Eurozone producer prices for September. Producer prices are forecast to fall 0.4% month-on-month in September, after rising 0.4% in August. On a yearly basis, producer prices are set to decline 7.7%.
