European Economics Preview: BoE Minutes Due
(RTTNews) - Wednesday, major reports due for the day include the Bank of England minutes and British Industrial Trends survey.
At 3:00 am ET, the Swiss National Bank is set to release money supply data for September. On a yearly basis, M3 money supply had increased 7.7% in the preceding month.
At 3:30 am ET, the Statistics Netherlands is scheduled to release consumer confidence survey results for October. The sentiment indicator is forecast to improve to minus 16 from minus 17 in the previous month.
An hour later, the Bank of England is slated to issue the minutes of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting held on October 7 and 8. At the end of its two-day rate setting meeting, the central bank had retained its key interest rate at a record low and decided to continue its GBP 175 billion asset purchase programme.
At 6:00 am ET, the U.K.’s Industrial Trends Survey results are due from the Confederation of British Industry. Last month, 8% of firms registered above normal order book level, while 56% reported below normal, resulting in a negative balance of 48%.
Afterwards at 8:00 am ET, Poland’s core CPI figure for September is due. Economists forecast core annual inflation to stand at 2.9%, unchanged from the previous month.
