European Economics Preview: Eurozone External Trade Data Due
(RTTNews) - Friday, major reports due for the day include Eurozone and Italian external trade.
At 3.00 am ET, the Turkey’s State Institute of Statistics is slated to release consumer confidence survey results for September. The consumer sentiment indicator is seen at 81.8, up from 81.3 in the previous month.
At 3:15 am ET, Switzerland’s Federal Statistical Office is expected to issue retail trade statistics for August. Annual growth in sales is expected to ease to 0.8% from 1% in July.
At 4:00 am ET, the Italian trade data for August is due. The trade balance logged a surplus of EUR 4.11 billion in the preceding month.
At 5:00 am ET, Eurozone trade data for August is due from Eurostat. Economists forecast the trade surplus to fall to a seasonally adjusted EUR 4.9 billion from EUR 6.8 billion in July.
In the meantime, Italian current account data is due. The current account balance registered a surplus of EUR 3.33 billion in July.
At 6:00 am ET, the Central Statistics Office is set to release Irish retail sales data for August. In July, retail sales volume had decreased 15% on a yearly basis but rose 0.2% on a monthly basis.
