European Economics Preview: BoE Minutes Due

(RTTNews) - Wednesday, major reports due for the day are Bank of England’s minutes and CBI Industrial Trends survey.

At 2.00am ET, the Federal Statistical Office is slated to release German producer prices details for July. After declining 4.6% on a yearly basis in June, producer prices are forecast to drop 6.5% in July. Monthly decline is see at 0.2%.

Thereafter, the Hungarian average gross wages is due from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office at 3.00am ET. Average gross wages are forecast to rise 2% year-on-year in June.

At 4.00am ET, the European Central Bank is expected to issue the balance of payment data. The current account deficit totaled EUR 1.2 billion in May.

Half an hour later, the Bank of England’s minutes is due. At the end of two-day rate setting meeting held on 5 and 6, the BoE had decided to hold its key interest rate at 0.5% and to raise the size of quantitative easing measures by GBP 50 billion to GBP 175 billion.

At 6.00am ET, the Confederation of British Industry is slated to issue Industrial Trends Survey results.
