Yen waits for Paulson/Senators meeting

USD/JPY has been traversing a 40-pip range today, with the yen anticipating the outcome of a meeting between US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Senators Charles Schumer and Lindsay Graham at 1530 GMT. They are due to discuss the bill threatening China with tariffs. USD/JPY could get some support if Paulson succeeds in persuading the senators to back off a vote on the bill.
