The US Government Says We Don’t Have Inflation. It’s A Joke

Copper Up huge since January
Crude Oil Up Big Since January
CRB Index Up Big since January
When do we start to call this inflation? Do we let commodity prices double, triple or quadruple before we say that this is price inflation? Prices have moved up significantly since the first of the year. Oil is back near $80 per barrel. It’s well below the ridiculous highs that we hit last year, but well above the $35.00 low price hit at the end of 2008
Why don’t we call this inflation? The government manufactures numbers and tells us that we don’t have inflation, yet we watch commodity prices rocket higher. We watch the stock market move higher and we watch the US dollar get drubbed day after day after day, yet when Big Ben speaks to us and tells us that we don’t have inflation we believe him.
China knows the game. If we sucker the nation into believing inflation is really low, then they’ll continue to pour money into bonds. This supports the bond market. This supports China’s investment. We have inflation. The policies of this nation are INFLATIONARY. We’re printing dollars like there’s know tomorrow and China is in on the game. We’re being suckered. The banks are being bailed out and we’re being told that there’s no inflation. Shouldn’t prices be falling?
Home prices have risen… The government’s policies are inflationary. They’re trying to create asset bubbles to prop up the imploding balloon. When do we wake up? Do we sit by idly and watch as the FED takes down our currency against the rest of the world? This is a joke. Only in America.
