Many people (including me) believe that the U.S. unemployment rate is much higher than the figure reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Regardless, I would say that the following chart, which appeared in recent a BLS Issues in Labor Statistics background paper, “Involuntary Part-Time Work on the Rise,” speaks volumes about the health of the jobs market - and the economy.
