1 point for every eligible $1 you spend and up to 5 points for Starwood purchases. Here’s the breakdown of the 5 points: For every eligible $1 spent at SPG hotels & resorts, you get 2 Starpoints on the Card, plus 2 Starpoints as an SPG member (you will automatically be enrolled under the Starwood Preferred Guest program), and you get 1 more Starpoint with SPG Gold or Platinum status.
Use Starpoints for hotel stays and upgrades at over 1,100 hotels and resorts in almost 100 countries with no blackout dates.
