Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard is a point rewards credit card issued by Barclays Bank (NYSE:BCS) for US residents. This MasterCard (NYSE:MA) has two versions depending on your credit score, both of which offer the same rewards program as well as an introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers.
With this card, you will earn 2 points for each dollar you spend on groceries, gas and utilities, and 1 point for every other dollar you spend. An advantage of this card is that points don’t expire and there’s no redemption fee, no matter what you choose to redeem your points for. You may redeem your points as statement credit which can be used to deduct from any purchase made with this card.
Points can also be redeemed for a wide variety of things, and when redeeming them for flights, you won’t have to worry about blackout dates of any kind. As an incentive to cardholders, there is no limit to the amount of points you can earn, which will allow you to save points and then use them to pay for some big purchase or a trip, such as a family vacation.
Active cardmembers will also benefit from free access to FICO scores which you can check online through your Barclaycard account. Reports will also be sent to each of the 3 major credit bureaus each month to help you rebuild your credit score.
None of these cards have an annual fee, and if you go over your spending limit, you won’t have to pay an over-the-limit fee.
