Gasoline Continues Its Plunge On Lighter Demand

The price of gasoline has continued to nosedive….down another 5% today. This decline in gasoline prices also acts as a sort of “fiscal stimulus”. It has provided more disposable income to Americans. Demand is definitely lighter.
It’s always a double edged sword for gasoline refiners. Crude Prices have been declining, which is beneficial for refiners; however the volume of gallons purchased have been declining. It’s sort of a battle between the rate of change in prices and the rate of change in gallons purchased. Difficult business.
