I have had an interest in the stock market for most of my life. I watched the nightly news looking for the update on the Dow Jones Industrial Average. It was always on my mind, even if I was not employed in the industry. I’ve owned mutual funds in my 401k ever since graduating from college. I have been more active in the markets recently. I have traded stocks and options for the past five years. This trading was always part time.

My underegraduate degree is in Civil Engineering. I used this degree to get work in the construction industry. Working in field supervision and project management, I knew that this would not be my life forever. I started working my way up the ‘food chain’ - and my current Project Management role is as an tenant representative.

I recently completed my MBA which I worked on in the evenings. I focused on Investment Finance. Now I use this website to continue my learning. I plan to use this site to build a track record of market analysis.

I hope this website is educational for me and for anyone who chooses to read it. I thought the name ’studentofmarkets.com’ was appropriate becauce I always try to learn from that the financial markets are telling me. I don’t think I’ll ever know enough to not consider myself a student!
